Gold / Rosegold / Diamond and Iris Lore Explained

Rosegold trivia :

Man... you would not believe how many people ask me about Gold and Rosegolds past...

So its high time I got this shizz out of the way.

First off with explaining how Rosegold is formed.

In a shellnut ; Barbello and Gazardiel are actually the guardian angels that reside inside of Golds self concious, when he tries to summon them both he cant because summoning 2 massive spirits would put too much of a strain on his body. Through this the 2 angels actually form into 1 being known as Rosegold who his her own entity. When Rosegold vanishes back into Golds self concious she splits apart into Barbello and Gazardiel again and both of them gain the memories that Rosegold had when summoned. 

NONE OF THEM CAN SPEAK THEY ARE ALL MUTE.

Though I drew them both the same size their is a massive size difference between them all.

Barbello is 50M High,

Gazardiel is 75M High,

and Rosegold is 60M High.

These next bunch of uploads will be explaining each character... Hopefully. 

UPDATE :

Someone questioned that it was impossible to summon all 3 at once, without me even explaining in my own universe and story how its done lol so here is the explanation. 

The way she is summoned is as such ;

The way Gold summons his angels once learnt is through a special gate, summoning Rosegold is no problem for him but more than this is very difficult. 
Lets say Gold has the power to do it at this point. When the spirits are summoned they not only feed off of Golds strength and stamina but also of his spirit
energy, basically his life force. He has to give up some of it to be able to summon them.

Basically Gold has to not only summon Barbello and Gazardiel but also has to have the energy spare to also power up both the angels at once. Now knowing
the summon is like a gate both Barbello and Gazardiel can also do a summon, knowing to be summoned they have to give up some of their spirit and energy.
Gold wouldn't allow for this so he would have to have energy spare to make up for any sort of energy they would loose thanks to a healing power he has, which
can be seen in the old comic i uploaded which was vaulted.

They both give up some of their spirit to be able to make a summon of Rosegold. The same way that Gold summons his spirits from his own self concious, 
Barbello and Gazardiel do the same with Rosegold, as all of her memories an traits lie in both of them, though the summon gate is slightly different the way the
final outcome is the same. They just manifest all of her memories gained along with some of their spirit instead of their entire being to be able to summon her.

Here is the long awaited lore of Rosegold and Gold and how it all began ( This is old and needs some updating but most of it is correct ) :

To start with what is a Guardian spirit?

A Guardian Spirit is a A higher lifeform that lives on another plain of living, to which at some point in its life decides to attach itself to a lower being thus changing and guiding it in its way of life from when they attach themselves. This can be done to any being lower than itself, including humans, animals, insects etc...
They usually go about never being known to its master as the spirit lives in the self conscious of its owner, that voice at the back of your mind telling you what's good and bad is your spirit, they also effect your surroundings in life, being general luck and how things manifest around you and it constructs your future for you. Even if their master is in danger of dying a guardian spirit does not get involved and lets them die as its the rule of god to never get involved with their actions, but...there Are some cases when that doesn't happen. 

How do they choose? Some call it fate, some call it destiny, but all higher beings get a instant feeling of drive to help a being that comes into creation, and as soon as it does they become its guardian spirit.

Who and what is Rosegold?

Rosegold isn't actually one entity she is compiled of 2 different Angels that worked under God before becoming guardian spirits.
These 2 Angels were known only as Barbelo the Angel of Goodness, a female angel who inspires prosperity and integrity. The other is being Gazardiel the Angel of new Beginnings, as an angel that holds dominion over the rising sun, she encourages awakening and enlightenment. 

These 2 angels were very close friends and worked in tandem with each other and considered each other as family, until one day. A boy was born, to which at that very instant both Barbelo and Gazardiel felt a feeling to assist that boy, to become its guardian spirit, they sensed an amazing presence in him, his future showed to be strong if they helped. Sadly only 1 spirit can be a guardian, not 2.
Barbelo was struck at this fact and she worried over what would happen to her friendship with Gazardiel if they split up, she cared very much for her and didn't want to hurt her. On the other hand Gazardiel had already left Barbelos side to become the boys guardian spirit, she tossed aside their friendship without second thought and left her all alone.

Barbelo was left alone... With no one to call friend, also she had no power to break gods rule to only have 1 guardian per being. At least not in the form she was in now. Barbelo was scared at what sort of future Gazardiel would give the boy if she tossed aside her own friendship so easily, she feared she would lead the boy to ruin and suffering. With this Barbelo did the biggest taboo against god, and denounced herself from his service and became a fallen angel, becoming a complete outcast and losing all grace she once had. At this time she wasn't under Gods rule any more and she went to become the guardian spirit of the boy just born. To which then Barbelo and Gazardiel were reunited in his mind and self conscious, Barbelo hating her for what she did. They now live inside this boy together, keeping him safe, this boy is known to you all only as Gold.

Who is Gold?

The newly born child was born in the religious town of Newmorn to which believed heavily in the rules of God, sadly this was a terrible fate for the new born child to be in.
Sadly inside of him is an Angel and a Fallen Angel, if Gazardiel was the only angel inside him then he would have been brought up as a saint, but sadly Barbelo gives terrible luck and karma to the being she resides inside, meaning the boy suffered terrible luck and karma, not only to himself but to the towns people. To this the people thought he was a bad omen, being possessed by an evil being. Unfortunately this meant the boy was brought up in solitude, never seeing the light of day. Even with this he brought terrible luck to the village and suffered for it. 

He was beaten, bullied and tortured, he was chained up, hanged with hooks in his skin, covered in wraps so he couldn't speak and was known only as the Hated.

Apart from one person who did not believe this, a young woman known as a saint by the village who would sneak into his cell and would undo his wraps so she could give him company and show that someone cares for him in life. This lady was known only as Mary Magdalene, believed to be the reincarnate of Mary of Magdalene. For years she spent time with the boy not being known to the villagers of the town. She quickly became the only person he ever cared about, she would spend any time she had spare with him. 

Unfortunately, she was caught out by the guards and was taken by the villagers. This was because they carved into his right arm with a knife "Hated" and she was so torn by this that she ripped off her own part of her clothes and bandaged it over so he couldn't see it. They believed that she was the one that was causing this horrible luck that plagued the town to continue and that she wasn't the Mary of Magdalene they believed she was. At that point she was killed by the towns people as soon as she left the building the boy was held in.

At that very moment the boy sensed her life vanish from the world. After all the years, of sadness and crying, he could no longer give any tears. But... He was angry, he was so very angry. He realized over time that he was housing a power inside of him but it was at that very moment he decided to act. With a tremendous amount of strength he ripped off the chains from the walls, and smashed down the door keeping him locked away, he was free. But he was no where near finished with this town or its people.

The boy charged through the building he was in and he was attacked by all the villagers with knives and any weapons they could find to kill him to keep him from leaving. The boy struck down every single person that stood before him, though he did not kill, he impaled each of the attackers with their weapon through their hands, legs and stomach to ensure they felt a tiny part of the pain he had gone through his whole life to that point. 
When he was finally outside he was met by the towns people and the corpse of the only person he cared about, Mary Magdalene laid dead on the floor, covered in blood and Dirt by the towns people. 

At that point the towns people turned to him. He tore down every man and woman that attacked him. Crippling each and every one for murdering such a pure woman, breaking both their arms and legs in the most painful ways he could imagine. He did not harm the children, they were in such fear of this young boy they dare not do anything but huddle round their crippled mothers and fathers. 

The boy sensed an evil that laid on this town and he saw fit to only get rid of it. With all the towns people on the floor in pain he set fire to the whole village and cleansed it or its evil. Over the years of isolation he gained a sense to read the self conscious of other people, they blamed him for all they had done, even for things his karma had nothing to do with. He realized this was no holy village but a plague that believed it could get away with anything but blaming it on others like him and Mary.

Once he burned down the village he picked up Mary Magdalenes corpse and carried it with him out of the town. He denounced his name, his family and any tide he had to the town or its people. He was now and outcast. He was now free.

He travelled mile after mile carrying Mary Magdalene, to which he found a river and cleaned her of all the blood and dirt covering her whole body, he also replaced her clothes with most of his own. To which he then found a beautiful tree and buried her next to it.  At that point he started to cry, realizing after all the years of caring for nothing, there was one person in the horrid world he was brought up in that he cared for and loved. He realized he was able to feel emotion again.

At this point the boy felt at ease with himself, sitting next to this tree, weak, tired and dying of hunger. Thinking he would die next to the only person who cared for him. As he fainted though, his guardian spirits Barbelo and Gazardiel took over his body and forced it to run all the way to another town, to which they collapsed outside an old inn.

Wiped out on the floor the door was opened by the owner of the inn, he was known as Ferron, an elderly man with a very kind heart, he took the young boy into his inn and he raised him back to health. As the boy woke up he was greeted by Ferron and was asked his name, sadly the boy said he didn't have one. Ferron noticed the boy wore an amazingly shining gold ring on his right hand on his pinkie finger and also wore a strange gold cross with a red gem inside of it as well as the Gold earring on his left ear. Ferron decided to nickname the boy Gold, as a symbol of the jewellery he wears. 

At that point Gold realized he had never had items like these before. They were given to him by his spirits inside of him. As a form of protection, not only this but because of them summoning themselves gold had a full understanding of who was in his mind at the time, he could hear voices coming from his mind. He also noticed he could somehow sense the intent of Ferron and his thoughts at the time. Due to his isolation for many years he gained the ability to sense the minds and intent of others, learnt by consistently thinking and trying to figure out who was in his mind all this time. He knew he was a kind man who meant no harm.

Also living in the tavern was another young boy, who somehow managed to befriend the torn up Gold over time. He also helped him recover from his harsh life before hand, like Gold he was an outcast and was adopted by Ferron as his only son. Very little was known about this boy as well, similarly to Gold as he kept his life before hand to himself. Without a name he decided to call himself Diamond. Over the years Diamond went on to being Golds single ally for his future to come.

Gold was 14 when he abandoned his home town, he is now in his 20's, at least it looks that way... This happened over 2 centuries ago. Gold and Diamond are in their early 200's.

even now, he's a very self conscious young man, he doesn't speak to anyone and barely ever shows himself. 
He travels from town to town and has multiple homes, one included in Dubai, London and Okinawa.

He is known as a little legend around the places he lives. He only walks at night and he can be seen clearly by the shining gold aura he gives off from his jewellery. He is known as the man that walks in the night, but shines as bright as the day, Gold. 
How gold earns his money is thanks to Diamond at this point. Diamond goes out finding people that need their assistance in hunting down people for money, once he has the work he then finds Gold and lets him do his thing. 
That's what his life has been like up to this point so enjoy the ride as you follow Golds footsteps from here on out and what he's trying to accomplish.

Gold General Information :

The one who leads his team, Gold Shieldheart, is what is known as an Apostle. One of 13 that exist in the universe. Special beings though born from humans were created by gods and spirits that have tremendous powers to lead and protect the life forms under them. Though they look pretty human their bodies are a completely different make up of atoms and cells compared to that of other lifeworks known on earth. They have a very dense molecular structure and mass. Gold is a perfect example, though he may look pretty light he actually has to consistently concentrate on his body to make it possible to be able to walk around like a normal person, if he just let himself go lose and walk normally he would crack the ground and cause the ground around him to shake, as he has the mass of a being that's over MM tall of which is his guardian spirit. 

Speaking of guardian spirits, Gold has 2, known as Barbells and Grenadier, though when summoned fuse to make Rosegold. How do he summon them? Through vigorous training when he was younger, he had to learn to expel enough energy and spirit essence of himself to be able to give them their own visual form, to be able to basically open a gate which lets them summon in this world for all to see. The amount of time they can be summoned is variant on how much energy Gold has, if he isn't fighting with Rosegold and its just a normal meeting then he can summon her for hours. If its an intense battle in which he has to consistently give her energy than a substantial amount less. 

Though Gold himself is reluctant to use his spirits to fight. This is because Gold is a very proud being. He doest like help, especially in 1-1 battles. He's never truly had the need to summon his spirits into battle. Never has he faced anyone strong and worthy enough to deem him to do so.

Gold only fights people he has on his hit list. The list is created by Diamond to which all information he would need on his target would be on it, not to mention if he had to kill the target in a specific way. He will not fight random people in the streets... He will simply shrug them off, with his uptight attitude.

Golds Attitude :

Speaking of Gold's attitude. He's pretty vulgar. In which I mean terribly rude, if you try to pester or talk to him you can be assured that he will show no interest in you. He is usually pretty silent and very much to himself. If he doesn't notice you it means he has zero interest in you and aren't deemed worthy to even talk to. You show no interest to him and there for are just a inanimate object in his mind. 

He doesn't just mindlessly judge people. He has a special power that he was born with as one of his few Apostle born traits, being he is able to sense emotions and the intent of someone before he actually needs to talk to them. Think of it as mind reading, apart from its not as clear and is shown to Gold as a vast amount of colours he reads. He can tell if you are good or bad just from a glance.

Some of his other powers include super strength, being about to summon his spirits body parts like a fist or foot or head even to use or mimic him in battle. He can instantly anchor his body and make it even heavier and denser. As well as being able to summon other parts of his spirits like their wings to be able to fly and such.

Golds weaponry :

Gold also wields the weapon The Overlord. This is a holy weapon endowed to him by One, also known as God. As a special weapon to help him battle against other Apostles. It is a legendary weapon with its own spirit and life. It takes on the form of which is the worst memories of its owner. Amazingly its never had an owner, because no one prior could lift it. 

There are a few things that need to be done to be able to lift the Overlord :

- You have to be an Apostle
- You have to have a strong bond with your guardian Spirits
- You have to have to have strong regrets to be able to lift that in which is a burden itself. The Overlord
- You have to put all your faith in the Overlord when trying to wield it.
- If you are worthy enough the Overlord will let you lift it. Just.

If you pass all those tests you can wield it.  Amazingly since their are only 13 Apostles to begin with, its literally impossible to any other being in existence to be able to hold the Overlord. No other Apostle can lift it as Gold is the only one with enough torture and scars teemed with the regrets of his past to be able to lift it.

Knowing this the Overlord isn't a light weapon, it doesn't matter how much you master it, it will always be too heavy for the wilder to use efficiently, its weight is always unknown as it changes variant on the wielder, so its always just about swing-able, that's it. And since only Gold can lift it, he's the only one that can use it.

The spirit and gender of the Overlord is unknown, Gold just knows it resides in there and is helping him when he needs to use it. 

Like Rosegold the Overlord is summoned via a special gate which is in a different part of Gold's self conscious. To not interfere with that which is Barbells and Gazardiel's residence.

Even though he has a massive sword his chosen type of combat is hand to hand, he likes a good tussle battle given he has a lot more grit than anyone else does. This means he doesn't mind taking a hit to give and even harder hitting one.

Golds History :

Gold himself back to him, has no real family. He may have been born through a human vessel. His actual creation was made from that which is from Gods and Spirits. He doesn't actually know where he's come from or what he has to do. He just gets through each day...each month...each year as it comes. To this point 2 centuries have passed. He was born in the 1800's. It's unknown when the other apostles were born but he isn't the oldest. 

It's unknown if he is the strongest either. All he knows is that someone wants he killed and it seems it is one of the apostles...

Gold as he is, HATES with passion literally all humans. From his tortured past that left him scared mentally and more than physically he has a very strong disliking for being around them. 

Though this hasn't stopped him from using a tiny fraction on his money to make an orphanage for children, which is strange considering he hates humans. They don't even know he runs it, or the staff, he just watches to make sure all the money is being spent on the orphanage and the children inside.

Diamond has fathomed Gold's mind dozens and dozens of times, even to this day trying to figure him out. He's an enigma in an enigma that's morals don't make sense. 

Hating humans yet helping and guarding them...

Will we ever find out what Gold's really thinking... I don't know we will just have to wait and see...

His visual appearance :  

If not apparent Gold has a lot of strange markings on his body as well as a rather strange hair colour. All his markings on his skin were bestowed upon him from reaching a certain type of bond with his spirits, they vary from spirit to spirit. Having a look at Diamonds and Beryl's, they are very different to Gold's. 

The same with Gold's hair, it used to be very dark brown and long all over, until a drastic change in his powers made his hair and even his nails Gold. Not only this but he gives off a very dim glow as well. Not only were his changes on his flesh but also in his clothes. He has some sort of golden bands on his wrists and ankles though it is unknown what sort of purpose they hold as of present.

All his scars were given to him from his past in torture. Unlike normal scars which he can heal in an instant, not leaving marks. Damage done by holy weapons or items he cannot so easily heal and remove. The scars he has are permanent and are a constant reminder of the nightmare he had to endure when he was a child so many years ago. 

Though his outfit tends to change their is 1 piece that stays with him when ever he decides to change. That is his scarf, it was a gift from rosegold, considering she herself has no visual gift that is shown on Gold's body, only from Barbello and Gazardiel. Rosegold wove a scarf with her own hair to make the one you see Gold use, it is special. Gold can manipulate the scarf just by his thought, he can move it anywhere and can even use it as a weapon, not only that but Rosegold can also use it even when not summoned, its how it never touches the ground though it is super long. How this happens when Barbello and Gazardiel aren't fused is a mystery.

It cannot be broken, torn or destroyed. Not only was it woven by her, it was imbued with special enchantments and part of her spirit to keep it super strong.

AND FINALLY : 

Gold's name was given to him as he abandoned his name given to him at birth, due to his Golden appearance. Shieldheart came along after Diamond realised how much of a closed door Gold was to not only those around him but to himself. Keeping everyone out yet helping others made diamond come up with the name that would symbolise though he isn't heartless, he has it consistently guarded keeping anyone from getting close to him.

Also P.s. The pictures I draw of him being smothered in commissions and such aren't related at all to lore they are just because they are commissions etc... He's actually supper up tight about physical contact.

Diamond and Iris Lore :

If you have read the lore of Gold and Rosegold, you know there was a young boy that also grew up with Gold only known as Diamond.

This stunning being may look feminine but he is all male and doesn't hide it, he is also homosexual, but unlucky for him Gold is not, so Diamond just likes to play with Golds emotions whenever he sees him. Which is very rarely. Diamond is the only person that is even able to touch or get close to Gold, without him breaking the persons arms. Diamond tends to lean on Gold a lot because hes a towering 6.9ft tall, nearly 1ft taller than Gold.

He sees Gold so little because Diamond is the man that gets Gold his work. This means he could be away for weeks on end before finding Gold to give him the job. They are a couple, in terms of work. Diamond seeks out the work and gets the money from their customers, while Gold goes out and hunts the people in question to be found. 

His Spirit is Iris the Goddess of the rainbow and messenger to the Gods. Her name means rainbow in her native language. She gives Diamond some quite interesting abilities including to mind read anyone in his sight, not only this but he can see a short distance into the targets past and future. Not only this but he can manipulate objects using this psychic power meaning he can lift things a lot large than himself, including buildings and possibly islands if he wanted to. 

Very much like Rosegold, Iris is quite the tall lady, shes actually 3 times taller than Rosegold, as she towers a massive 180M standing straight but unlike, unlike Gold, Diamond has full control of Iris's size, meaning he can summon her in a more refined size, with this her powers are also honed in and are made more precise. If made a similar size to Diamond his psychic powers are a lot more powerful. 

Diamond and Iris's relationship is strong, though not on a loving manner like gold and Rosegold, they tend to both show a lot more affection to Gold. This means that not only Diamond likes to rest and touch Gold but so does Iris. Its unknown why she does, its believed Iris has a very strong bond to Gold as he has the power to not only read emotions and content of people, but also of their spirits. This means Gold has a good understanding of Iris, but its made clear she also likes to mess with Gold because it annoys Rosegold. They don't exactly see eye to eye.
